UniFi or Google Nest Wi-Fi?
Nest Wi-Fi is the easier product: set it up from a phone in minutes and never look at a setting again. UniFi is the better system for larger homes, wired access points, camera integration and network segmentation. The choice is really between simplicity and capability, not between speeds.
Where Nest Wi-Fi fits
Apartments, condos, and open single-story homes up to roughly 2,000 square feet with no possibility of running cable. The app is genuinely simple, and family device controls are good.
Its limits show up in large or dense-construction homes, where wireless hops between units cost speed, and in anything needing VLANs, PoE or local camera recording.
Where UniFi fits
Multi-level homes, plaster or foil-insulated construction, homes with cameras, detached structures, and anyone who wants to see what is on their network. It expects wired access points and a little planning, and it repays both.

Homeowners weighing simplicity against coverage and control.
