Who we are
Cabling.com is a home technology service that connects homeowners with independent, qualified local professionals for home networking, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, cameras, and related installation work. We are not the installer — the professional who accepts your project performs the work.

Information we collect
Project details you give us: the service you need, answers about your home (size, floors, existing setup), your ZIP code, timing preferences, optional photos, and any notes you add.
Contact details: your name and email address, and your phone number if you choose to provide one.
Account details: if you create an account, your name, email address, and sign-in credentials. If you sign in with Google, we receive the basic profile information Google shares with us.
Professional details: if you join as a Pro, your company name, services offered, ZIP code coverage, and payment information (processed by our payment provider — we never see or store your full card number).
Automatic information: standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and how the site performs on your device. We use this to keep the site fast, secure, and working properly.
How we use your information
To match your project with one qualified professional serving your ZIP code.
To operate your account and show your project status.
To send you service emails — project confirmations, status updates, and responses to your messages.
To process professional lead payments and prevent fraud.
To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How your information is shared
Your project goes to a single professional at a time — never to a list of companies, and never as a public listing.
Your name and contact details stay private until a professional accepts your project and pays the lead fee. Only that professional receives your contact information, and only to do your job.
If a professional declines or their payment fails, your project — still without your contact details — is offered to the next qualified professional.
We share information with the service providers that run the site (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and analytics), each limited to what they need to provide their service.
We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies: to keep you signed in, remember your project draft, and measure site performance and usage in aggregate. We do not use advertising cookies.
You can block cookies in your browser settings, though sign-in and draft saving will not work without the essential ones.
Data retention and security
We keep project and account information while your account or project is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and private matching so your contact details are exposed to as few parties as possible. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but protecting your information is central to how this service is designed.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you can email hello@cabling.com to request a copy of your information, correct it, or delete your account and project data.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA: the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share; the right to delete it; the right to correct it; the right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share it); and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, email hello@cabling.com from the address on your account. We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
Children
Cabling.com is for adults arranging work on their homes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email hello@cabling.com and we will delete it.
