Terms of Service

Effective January 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Cabling.com ("Cabling.com," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of cabling.com and related products, including the job board, contractor and manufacturer directories, the AI Copilot, the Sourcing beta, the Estimator, newsletters, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for all activity under your account. Keep your credentials secure and notify us at admin@cabling.com of any unauthorized use.

2. Roles

Accounts belong to one of three roles: candidate (job seeker), employer (hiring company), and contractor (service provider). Certain features, including the Sourcing beta, require additional access granted by Cabling.com.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, discriminatory, defamatory, or illegal content.
  • Post jobs that are not bona fide or that solicit money from applicants.
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data from the Services without written permission.
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or payment controls.
  • Attempt to move Sourcing beta communications off-platform before award, or bypass contact filtering.
  • Upload malware, or infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Impersonate a person or company, or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Use the Services to develop a competing product, or train machine-learning models on our content, without our written permission.

We may remove content, suspend accounts, and refuse service for violations.

4. Job postings & marketplace listings

You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of your postings, including wage disclosures, licensing requirements, and equal-opportunity notices. Free postings may be subject to review, expiration, and renewal limits. Paid features (e.g., featured jobs, Recruiter Pro, promoted opportunities) are governed by the pricing shown at checkout.

5. Payments, refunds, and taxes

Paid features are billed through our payment processor. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled from your billing settings. You are responsible for applicable taxes.

6. Bids, quotes, and independent contracting

Cabling.com is a neutral venue. We do not employ candidates, guarantee jobs, endorse contractors, or become a party to any bid, quote, contract, or engagement between users. You are solely responsible for evaluating counterparties, negotiating terms, complying with licensing, safety, insurance, wage, and tax laws, and performing any work.

7. AI Copilot & automated outputs

The AI Copilot, Estimator, and similar features generate outputs that may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for verifying results before relying on them for business, safety, code-compliance, or bidding decisions. Do not submit confidential third-party information you are not authorized to share.

8. User content & license

You retain ownership of content you submit ("User Content"). You grant Cabling.com a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, and adapt User Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Services and to display listings you publish. You represent you have the rights necessary to grant this license.

9. Intellectual property

The Services, including software, design, text, graphics, and the Cabling.com marks, are owned by Cabling.com or its licensors and protected by law. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services.

10. Third-party services

The Services integrate with third parties such as payment processors, email delivery, OAuth providers, and public job/permit feeds. Their terms and privacy practices govern your use of their services; we are not responsible for them.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk to the platform. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cabling.com disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cabling.com and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, business opportunities, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100.

14. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cabling.com from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Alameda County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute not subject to arbitration, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue. Nothing here waives any non-waivable statutory rights.

16. Changes to the Services or Terms

We may modify the Services or these Terms. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
