Jobs Key Responsibilities
- Problem-Solving & Design: Translate user challenges into high-level solutions by designing intuitive workflows, detailed interactions, and visually appealing designs.
- Simplifying Complexity: Develop elegant solutions to intricate information architecture and content design issues.
- Establish Design Standards: Set and advocate for a design standard at Kaizen, ensuring a user-centred design approach that prioritizes customer needs.
- Ownership of UX Lifecycle: Lead the complete UX lifecycle, covering strategy, content creation, wireframing, prototyping, design execution, and analytics review.
- Collaboration & Innovation: Facilitate workshops and discussions with stakeholders to define and deliver innovative product and experience solutions.
- Align with Product Requirements: Work closely with product teams to ensure design solutions meet the desired specifications and objectives.
- Team Support: Act as an essential contributor to the technology team, supporting product development and technical solutions.
- Marketing Collaboration: Provide creative support for the Marketing team with an innovative approach to design.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Offer guidance to team members by mentoring and conducting peer reviews, helping to establish and maintain high UX/UI design standards.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Core Skills:
- Proficiency with Design Tools: In-depth experience with tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, and more.
- UX Expertise: Strong understanding of UX best practices, usability principles, and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
- Effective Communication: Ability to communicate complex ideas in both technical and user-friendly language, depending on the audience.
- User Research: An understanding of user research methods and how to leverage insights to inform design decisions.
Additional Competencies:
- Agile Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, processes, and tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting design decisions to both designers and non-designers.
- Software Development Knowledge: Basic understanding of software development life cycles and best practices.
- Frontend Frameworks: Awareness of frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue.
- Experience with Digital Products: Proven experience in designing and launching customer-facing digital products.
- Visual Aesthetic: A passion for visual quality, detail, and design excellence.
- Animation Skills: Experience with animations in Figma is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in UX/UI design.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field.
- Additional qualifications in UX/UI design are an advantage.
